Re: Feldwebel Scram leaves Kalach

I must apologise lads as I'm going to have to step away for a time I'm afraid. Unfortunately circumstances have changed lately which have meant that I'm not able to get flying on sunday evenings on a regular basis. I'm hoping to see things settle down in a few weeks, in which case I'll ask nicely t...

Re: Welcome Guests.

Hello all, I just wanted to stop by and say hi while my application goes through. I'm fairly green to flight sims, so I'll probably need some decent work done to get me into flying shape, but yall seem like the bunch that would be able to do it. If anyone has any suggestions or advise, I would be h...

I simply deleted the updates folder and restarted. Worked for me
You'll probably need to reset your graphics settings, mine were wiped as a result of deleting the updates folder.

Re: 3.102 Failure to update

I've got the file as I had the same issue but went with another solution which ended up deleting a lot of my settings. I can email you the file if needs be.

Re: Eduard 1:72 B24 Liberator: Coastal Command

Yes Moggy and Reg, I pondered over this for quite a while but references show that the two types of scheme were used throughout WWII. The Dark Slate Grey/Extra Dark Sea Grey scheme is very subtle in poor quality B/W images but can be clearly distinguished in other images. There are a number of exam...

Wasn't Jolly the instigator of the infamous Wibault\Ju-52 mixup?

Re: Eduard 1:72 B24 Liberator: Coastal Command

It does look great but something is bugging me, I think the camouflage on top should be a 2 tone grey.

Coastal Command schemes are just the best! :Love

Re: Steam VR and OTT

Interesting, there's a new kid on the block about screen resolution. In some games now, you can upscale your resolution up to double the capability of your monitor. This of course comes with a huge hit on FPS, I wonder if it's the same thing?

Re: Know your enemy

With regards to the best corner speed. The way I look it's like trying to balance a spirit level, it's very easy to just push it too far and you're off balance again. Interesting thing about looking at the figures, say you're in an I-16 1 on 1 with a 109 E7 in a turn fight. You've got the slight tur...

Re: Recommended books

Well it's funny you mention how lethal the camel was and rightly so. But 1 relatively unknown fact was just how lethal the engine was to new pilots. The Clerget 9B had a peculiar need and this was that it needed a mixture adjustment immediately after take off. Now this doesn't sound too bad but when...

Re: Starshina Tuffy leaves Kalach

Comrade Tuffy, report to 219 BAD Krasnodar-1 airfield immediately where you will find 244 BAP and be assigned A-20 aircraft #279. On your way to Krasnodar, make yourself familiar with the operational details of the A-20 bomber. http://www.tangmerepilots.co.uk/NewForum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=17678 Cong...

Re: Starshina Tuffy arrives at Kalach

The A-20 does seem to fly particularly well on one engine. After nursing a 110 engine-out towards home and having it wallow like a cow (in winter, no less when she should fly best), a single engine A-20 without having the prop feathered and having lost the critical (left) engine hummed along in mid...

Re: Starshina Tuffy arrives at Kalach

I was thinking that we need 1 more bomber pilot to join our ranks.
