Re: FW-190 A-8

Nice work Andy, interesting scheme and I love those late war colours. It would be nice to see it photographed on a plain white or black background so the colours and details really stand out!

Re: Also in need of graphics card advice.

I am in a similar situation Dutch, still using a 760 which is ok but the game keeps crashing due to driver issues with this card. So until I upgrade it's just not worth the constant reboots! I feel completely out of the TP loop now as there are chaps flying now that I have never spoken to yet so am ...

Yes Sparky, they are landing lights, the camera is mounted behind the rhe pilot (note hole in the rear cockpit window). ☺

Cheers Dutch, yes they are 20mm cannon. It's a pretty aeroplane apart from that sicky-out nose bit!

RAF Mustang MkI, photo recon. Hobby Boss 1:32

Another recently complete commission for same client. For a 1:32 kit, it was bereft of detail and the carb intake on the nose was completely misshaped so I sculpted a new form for it. My first foray into creating D-Day markings so I am quite pleased with the results (much easier than I anticipated!)...

Trying again: Airfix (New Tool) B P Defiant: commission build...

Images did not seem to appear last post, so I hope this works. 'In flight' BP Defiant built for a client who creates photo-realistic images using models of aircraft that are no longer airworthy or extant. The Airfix kit is very nice but added new Browning gun barrels as the kits were not very well c...

Re: A few bits of mine

Hey Andy nice work on what sounds like a very difficult build! I have just completed a 1:32 Mustank Mk1 Photo-recon (Hobby Boss kit), in 'flight mode' for a client so will post up some pics soon. I'm glad you wiped the dust in here, its dirtier than Hatter's pant drawer!

Re: Need to replace my 760GTX as I am out of it until it's replaced...

Thanks Sparky, keep me posted. Jacko, I think the card is fin but I keep getting CTD and dx error messages. I tried updating drivers numerous times but the same thing keeps happening.

Need to replace my 760GTX as I am out of it until it's replaced...

Anyone have a suitable replacement for sale as there is no way right now I can spend three of four hundred squids for a new 10 series?

Re: Fairey Barracuda complete...

Excellent work, Charlie! What was the producer of the kit? I honestly don't remember a brand having Barracuda in its production, maybe apart from ye olde Matchbox or MPM. By the way, on Saturday we are having our model exhibiton and contest I mentioned before. Stay tuned for photos! Cheers Andy, th...

Fairey Barracuda complete...

I didn't have time to photograph this one before my client collected so he has sent a pre-production shot to test lighting before he works his magic on her. He creates amazing photo-realistic composites and I have to say that in most of his images, I cannot tell its a model (he only produces images ...

Re: Charlie should do a "blue peter" type thingy

A very nice idea Bunster, but with the lack of time I have at present it will take more like a bloody year to make something just out of the box let alone any after market details!! :-o I am towards completing a commission build of a Special Hobby Fairey Barracuda (NOT for the faint of heart!), and ...
