That's ok - next we'll start on how the P51 (British specification and engine with a German designer) won the war.

Any other suggestions anyone, before Sparky starts on his P51 arguments?

Re: Welcome Guests.

I don't lump 3DMigoto in with them but that might be because I only use its zoom function. When VR resolutions approach 4k per eye I may not even need that. That's the only thing I use 3Dmigoto for as well. For me, in the Rift S, the stock VR zoom actually makes things worse. With the newer view di...

Re: Tank gunnery range - single player mission

I don't think you can, honestly. I have mine set up using JoyToKey so I can use my stick to move the turret, but to make any kind of fine adjustment (as such as it is) I have to use the mouse. I can get it to make small moves easier that way if need be, but they still aren't fine enough if I'm tryin...

Re: Tank gunnery range - single player mission

It did when I was playing it just a couple hours ago. I thought something went wonky once and Group 3 didn't spawn, but apparently that was because I hadn't actually killed one of the Shermans, just disabled it or something. When I restarted it and shot them till they blew up all the groups spawned ...

Re: VR hints and tips

16. Consider getting at least the demo version of VoiceAttack, as you can program up to 10 commands with it without a license key, and set it up for things you might fumble around with in the heat of the moment - you know, like bailing out of the plane when it's in flames.

Re: New VR Rig

I fly DCS with a guy from Canada that uses a Thrustmaster Warthog and recently purchased these desk mounts for his setup: https://www.monstertech.de/en/product/joystick-hotas-table-mount/ He flies with a Rift S, and said that of all the desk mounts he's used, those are the best he's found - he's ver...

Re: VR thoughts

However, someone (Tom, Silk, Merlin, the cute bank woman?) solved one aspect of VR when they suggested a swivel chair. In real life you're young enough to rubber-neck with your "head on a swivel" but in VR (unlike Trac IR) to see behind you you must crank your neck around. Yes, this. I'm not young ...

Re: VR thoughts

I've had an Oculus Rift since they became commercially available (I bought mine on pre-order). I don't have any experience unfortunately with any other headsets - I was looking forward to the Pimax, but with Merlin's experience with them I decided against purchasing one. I'm planning on getting a Ri...
