Re: Bypass steam vr for oculus

Okay Blackjack, how are you getting this to work on your end? How do you have it set up? It was working on my system for a couple days, but now I simply cannot get OpenComposite to run IL2 through my Rift no matter what I try. I've tried the full System Wide install, and I've tried installing the .D...

Re: Bypass steam vr for oculus

Yep, agreed. While I don't see a massive improvement, the improvements I do see are definitely worth it (and frankly it's worth it to avoid SteamVR in any case anyway).

Re: How can I say this...

I wouldn't spray WD40 in there even if it didn't mess with the circuitry - it'll eventually gum it up worse (requiring more sprayings). I think Bunny has the best option on this if you want to fix it... I assume it's out of warranty?

Re: Recommended books

I'd definitely have to agree with you there Sparky. My first one was a mess. Second one wasn't much better (that one I didn't finish completely as a result - it sits there in the slush pile, toying with me...). Then I had the unthinkable happen - I wrote nearly 70,000+ words of a historical fiction ...

Indeed. I might have to chat a bit with you and Nummy sometime, Sparky. You guys aren't the only writers in these here parts. Revision has been my bane.

Re: Steam VR and OTT

That's a good question. I've wondered about that. I was toying with some of those settings with Skyrim VR - the default setting was 174%, just like Tom's, but I messed around with pushing Skyrim VR's specific setting up to 150%, and my OTT is typically hard set at 1.5. I really didn't notice much of...

Re: This weekend

Understood Silk. Again, I don't know what you've tried to do thus far other than what you've mentioned above, but if you haven't tried it already, I'd suggest running BoX without OTT and see what happens. I realize you don't play / run IL2 this way, but it might be the only way to isolate where the ...

Re: This weekend

I can completely understand the frustration Silk. I was playing DCS a few days ago and didn't realize that I had mapped a button to Discord for voice chat - every time I hit that button (which was the TDS disengage button, which you tend to hit frequently) the Discord overlay window would pop up and...
