Re: great battles
I have two copies of the game on my pc. On one copy a particular external view works every time. On the other copy this view sometime works , sometimes not. Sometimes it works to start with then it packs up! As one game is ostensibly a clone of the other, it's got me baffled, especially as it works ...

Re: Inaccessible boot drive
Well it didn't go too badly I suppose. I needed to reinstall to get it to work but It kept the IL2 files such as Skins and control assignments for throttle and pedals. But as it wiped out CH drivers the Joystick needed reassigning. You get a list of all the things it does delete which included NVIDE...

Inaccessible boot drive
Yes I have fiddled around and having done this, I am faced with the option to reset my pc reinstalling windows, keeping my personal files, but deleting apps and settings. Will this delete IL 2?

Re: Colour footage - Hornchurch 1942
Great footage. What made me laugh was the ground crew shown early on in the film, strapping a pilot into the cockpit. Look again you will see 'TOM' written in white across the back of the fitter. Often wondered where the CO got his moniker from.

Re: Object durability - Buildings
Yes this was serious fun. At one stage I skip bombed a building only to see the bomb explode well past the other side of it. i.e. the bomb passed through it. Turned out It was possible to fly through them without damage.

Deleting and reinstalling the GPU drivers brought it back. Two features are not included in the old version, Lat...

Re: Chips with everything
I guess that in a world where Ford has had to shut down two of its Euro car plants, solving my pc gaming problems comes pretty low on Nvidea's list of priorities.
