Re: Welcome Guests.

Hi Fred I deleted your email in case it got lifted. The time difference isn't really a problem provided you can commit to the times we're online. It is usually a problem for those that work 9 to 5 or have commitments on Sunday afternoons US time. For the rest there are loads of folks that only play ...

Re: Welcome Guests.

It's weird but desaturating the colours makes it look like original IL2. Not a criticism, but an observation. When it switches to colour you see how nice the K4 model looks.

Edit: Oops forgot to say HI STAPPERS!

Sgt Blackjack - operational orders enclosed

Sgt Blackjack, I have the distinct pleasure of welcoming you into Tangmere Pilots. Now that you're done at Kalach please take a pleasant stroll across the airfield to the palatial palace that is the No1 mess. Upon reaching the No1 mess, feel free to sneer in the direction of 601 (they won't notice b...

Re: Sgt Blackjack arrives at Pitomnik

Sgt Blackjack flew an excellent mission to complete A/F 3.

He managed to see the ground in time to avoid it, and wandered through enemy flak with a steely determination. Occasionally he pointed out ground and air stuff too - bonus!

S!

Sgt Blackjack today completed A/F2. In his own words "It was ok."

He needs glasses though.

:D

Well done Blackjack!

Sharing now...

I knew Cheese was leaving but wanted to wait for his post first.

As it is, I and others will be sharing the OTU role for a bit.

Message over.

Re: No6_OTU

When there's stuff to tell then everyone will be told, whatever that stuff is or whatever it's about.

Hope that's cleared that up.

Re: Sgt Blackjack arrives at Pitomnik

A hamper? Oh how No601 have fallen on bad times.

A hamper might get him past No1's guard house (aka 601 mess) I suppose but it'd only reflect 601s auxiliary status.

Re: Sgt Blackjack arrives at Pitomnik

Problem is he damaged a 109. Sacrilege says I. Still he managed to take off without a restart so he's better than 601 material.

Sgt Blackjack arrives at Pitomnik

Gentlemen, it is my distinct pleasure to confirm that Sgt. Blackjack today passed A/F1. Take off was good, formation flying was good, spotting contacts was laconic, and landing was indifferent. As he's a cultured individual I suspect he'd be ideal material for No1 rather than the rif-RAF of 601. His...

Re: Welcome Guests.

Hi Sunday ops is from 21:00 (usually online around 20:30 and on Tuesday we do training at 21:00 with most on around 20:30. Your times appear compatible. There is a series of 4 Assessment Flights (quite simple) over 4 weeks but the idea is that we get to look at each other over the 4 weeks to decide ...

3 rules

Three simple rules:

1. Don't bend over in the vicinity of BB.

2. Don't give your wife's, girlfriend's, boyfriend's telephone number to Tiger.

3. Blame Bunny for all things that go wrong.

That is all, carry on.

Berny

Chap called Berny made contact about joining. He hasn't replied to my email so either I've suffered the ignominy of being spam or he's not that interested.

That is all, carry on.
