Nummy, we're in the same time zone so when you get your rig up, we can fly while all these Limeys snore and drool the night away. We can go on a public server or do a co-op. Dogfighting me is like bagging a target drone, only easier.

Don't be surprised if your first VR flight makes you queasy. Limit it to a few minutes. Each day it will be less problematic but don't push beyond early queasiness. Within a few flights you should have no more problem and the increase in immersion and realism will bar a return to a flat screen.

I'd buy now before supply lines disrupt even more and cabin fever causes even more folks to buy new computers. I'd buy a VR optimized rig and a VR headset from the get-go.

I need my chair to rotate to help look over my six. I swing 45 to one side, center my view, then swing 45 to the other and I'm looking over the tail.

Sparky's Warthog HOTAS stick and throttle quadrant setup
First, here's a picture for the numbering of my list. The depicted setup is someone's DCS setup for an A-10C or some other jet. Note: to see throttle quadrant you may have to use the slider at the bottom of this post to slide your view to the right https://i.imgur.com/gFJeBqq.jpg Sparky’s TP IL2 HOT...

Yes, one is a pilot who shouts "Taran!" and intentionally crashes into the enemy. And then there's Eddie.

Re: F Sgt Kolo has arrived at Sutton Bridge
Kolo, I'm assuming you've memorized the required word-for-word dialogue from the 1968 movie, Battle of Britain? You must recognize and use both stock phrases and obscure trivia. "You can teach monkeys... ; Don't just stand there. Get one up! ; Rabbit Leader- ; Never fly straight and level for more t...

Re: F Sgt Kolo has arrived at Sutton Bridge
Welcome Kolo. Good job on the Bodenplatte sunrise mission. Nice to see someone who believes real pilots fly taildraggers. ...the best time that you can...have at TP without money, women, food or beer. Re: VR hints and tips
1. Map the VR reset button in-game as it means that if you need to you can tweak your head position to get it just right. I find this very important as I cannot crank my head around to look over the tail. My swivel chair helps a bit but mostly I look out over the right wing (swivelling a bit), hit ...

Having said all of that, I will be buying the Crosswind rudders. :-) Bunster The next gen MAY (or may not) be the Pimax 8KX but I'll let you know if and when they ship. Re: New VR Rig
Like Fritz and others I took someone here's suggestion for Monstertech mounts and they work very well except I got one with an extended (horizontally) joystick platform and it takes a specialized tool to tighten it every so often. I have the tools in the states but not here. I have the joystick and ...
