Bigbyte U/S
S! Chaps, I am declared U/S (un-servicable) until further notice. I've got a problem with my GPU (Aorus RTX 2080Ti). The fans are constantly pulsing from idle to max and back again every few seconds. Looking on-line it could be as simple as changing the thermal paste but I'm loathed to do that mysel...

Re: if there's thunder and lightning..
What I learned from this thread:
1, always wear you tinfoil hat;
2, fly everywhere at full power and never touch the throttle;
3, Hatter has a small knob.

You dogged a bullet there Brandy. They don't call No1 Sqn 'up the bum' for nothing.

Also helps if the drinking buddies are expats learning the language and single too. Can lead to some very interesting conversations, which you can always back out of and feig...

Re: Flickering/Shimmering in VR
I haven't fixed it but have managed to improve it by hiding it away. I've turned the graphics detail right down and then turned the resolution up in the Index which has the effect of squashing it via supersampling. So the shimmering is now smaller and less obvious. I'm running the resolution at 150%...

Flickering/Shimmering in VR
I’m having an issue in VR that is causing a flickering or shimmering effect. It is like every line is constantly being redrawn which gives the impression that object lines are moving. I can notice it in the hanger before launch when looking at the objects in there. Then once in the sim proper, any s...
