Re: Sgt Marbles leaves Sutton Bridge
I was an Anthropology and History undergrad and joined in on a dig of a pre-legal trading post. NW Arkansas was supposed to be tribal land but illegal White settlement was happening so illegal trading posts like this existed. We dug in the trading post's basement which was filled in and a house buil...

Re: Sgt Marbles leaves Sutton Bridge
Welcome Marbles. As new kid in town you get to be the Mess Officer, the duty officer every weekend until at least mid-January, and tonight you're buying drinks and paying for broken furniture at whatever pub will let us in (given our history).
Welcome aboard.

Re: Last night
Glad you got it running again. I had the same problem after a Windows Update a month or two ago. Silk suggested the problem and so it was. It's my "go to" check whenever the game fails. For me, it causes controls not to respond, throttles and control surfaces don't move, you can't bail out of fire g...

Excellent news, @Dutch. You're a true gentleman among these border ruffians. Did you order it online or buy it from a store?

Re: Teamspeak Issues
@Tom squared me right away with some major problems. You might wish to download Teamviewer for free so as to be ready in case my "B-Team" efforts fail. My computer kung-fu is weak. Several TPs' computer kung-fu is strong.

Re: Teamspeak Issues
Good. Nummy , remember there are two Teamspeak chat tabs at the bottom of the page. It defaults to the "Tangmere Pilots" tab but won't let you post messages there. To the immediate right of that tab is another labelled "Lounge." Click on the "Lounge" tab and we can chat freely. If we get your Teamsp...

Re: TrackIR woes.
I'd uninstall and reload TrackIR first. The last Windows update reset my USB ports and the game froze on me a few times before Silk suggested I go to device manager and unclick "Can power off to save energy". Then it worked fine. Isn't there an inexpensive British alternate to TrackIR that does the ...

Re: How to turn off VR to get screenshots for "Propwash"
I will try unchecking the VR box in the visual settings tomorrow but as I recall it's not so simple and involves the startup.cfg file.

How to turn off VR to get screenshots for "Propwash"
I used to know this but I've laid down and rolled over since and like the old children's toy, my "Etch a Sketch" brain was wiped clean. There is a way {I think it's a tweak to the startup config file) to turn off VR so I can play back my mission recordings full screen rather than as a binocular poor...

Re: PC possibly for sale
I bought a computer from newegg with a credit card I hadn't used for over a year. A day later there was a $6,000.00 bogus charge from some European account. It seemed my credit card purchase data from the newegg database was used. I'd only used the card for the computer and had NOT stored my credit ...

Welcome, Bags.
There are two Yanks in TP and one US/UK switch-hitter citizen. I spend half the year in Missouri and half in France. I love western and eastern North Carolina but spent most of my time at Ft. Bragg.
