Re: AtmSphere.fx

Disable any mods. If you have the Steam version, verify the game files.

If all else fails, delete and reinstall again.

Re: Preliminary research on my rig upgrade

Do I need to upgrade it? Also I cant really fly VR without a HOTAS can I? Yes No You can use VR with what you’ve got but it would be intensely frustrating. You’d be stuck using the first generation headsets for barely acceptable frame rates. You probably can fly VR without a HOTAS but again you wou...

Re: Preliminary research on my rig upgrade

Upgrade your pc first. Everything else can follow as and when money allows.

Personally I’d follow the order:

pc
VR

simply because VR is truly different. Test it first though to make sure it suits you.

But, with VR you may find a need for a better HOTAS and pedals, and then it gets expensive.

You mean I should remove the ‘and you getting to know us’ bit. I can see how knowing some of us may be off-putting.

Re: Post code lottery - Monitor

Congrats.

What you do depends on your base system - no point splashing out on a funky monitor or VR if you cannot run it.

What's your system specs?

Re: Voice Procedure (VP) Primer

This stuff has always been key. Leaders (and that means from pair/rotte lead upwards) you have to both set an example and monitor this.

Landing SOP

I cannot think of a single landing circuit accident though there have been some close calls. It isn't really worth worrying too much about but a SOP may take some stress out of landing. This is a proposed landing sop for comment or improvement if anyone wants to add anything. Squadron Leaders can va...
