After much dithering about what to get & justifying (to myself) the outlay, I've finally bloody bought one.
Hurrah

Re: Excellent new resource - weather in 1944
https://weather.us/observations/germany/max-temperature-daily/19440824-0000z.html It won't be precise, but it should give us a clue. Nice. This is the site I've been using for temps & precipitation. https://www.infoclimat.fr/cartes/observations-meteo/archives/temperature-maximale-journaliere/29/sep...

Re: New PC
Not in my immediate plans Buns, I just want something that makes Friday's fun & Sunday's something to look forward to, rather than the PITA they've become. Out of interest just how far short is that machine from VR capability?
@Mothyp - cheers Moths.

All you lovely people who know about computers:
Any obvious negatives with this (I'd bump up the ram to 16)

Re: Any throttle recommendations?
Another option - Thrustmaster have a sale on at the moment and you can get the T.16000M bundle for £100 - https://shop.thrustmaster.com/en_gb/winter-deals/t-16000m-fcs-hotas.html . Cheers, yes when the time comes, that's the way I'll go - Amazon selling for similar price. At the moment the X-52 thr...

Re: Is my track IR broken?
When I plug mine in I get 4 dull red lights briefly on the front of the unit - this only seems to happen when the software is running. (TiR 5)

Re: Any throttle recommendations?
Thanks Andy, It's actually an X52 throttle that I'm looking to replace - I liked the throttle a lot, but I never really got on with the stick, I found it too loose & floppy (insert Bunny gag here). But then I bought the X52 a long time ago in about 2007, & I understand the X52 pro is an improved ver...

Re: Any throttle recommendations?
Thanks all for the input (& to Silk & Tom last night on comms)
My bodge on the Saitek throttle was fine last night, but when the time comes I will go for the 16000 joystick/throttle combo.

Any throttle recommendations?
I currently use a fairly old Thrustmaster T16000m joystick together with an even older Saitek x52 throttle. (the Thrustmaster replaced the Saitek joystick when it packed up). The throttle is now failing. I've bodged a solution, but it needs replacing. I can't justify the expense of a Warthog or othe...

Good to see most standard cliches already in place. Just room for a warning not to drop your soap near the 601 mess.
Have fun!
