As Silk said - try a different RAM stick (from old PC?) to be sure the problem is not with the memory. If the video card works OK with the old PC, it could be a motherboard issue. You can ask somebody to replace video cards temporarily to make sure it is not the motherboard.

Mind you - if you plan on getting one of the new Nvidia 30XXs, you will probably need to get a new power supply with it, too. Those things are real guzzlers!

SRS runs only on Windows, it appears. You would need at least a Windows VM to run that, if you want it to be always online.
