FRAPS - A warning

Post by Hunter » Fri Jan 05, 2018 2:50 pm

Do you use FRAPS? I do in fact I have it set up to turn on automatically when the pc fires up. Recently it stopped working, so I had a look at the settings. I found that a checkbox marked 'Start Video Capture' was ticked and F9 was the key. It also tells you where the movies are kept, there was a raft of them. So I selected and deleted them.

A bit later I was checking the remaining memory on my hard drive which ha been showing something like 458GB of 464 used up. It now read 234 used up! In other words these unbeknown to me captures were occupying nearly half of the hard drive.

I hope someone else finds this of some use.
No points for second best.
