I think your VR freezing days will be over once you have that monster up and running.

I'm hoping to save missions onto the 3TB drive to get video clips for TP use. Hero exploits (everyone else) and gag reels (ummm, that would be me :Blush )

Sorry for the dumb question. Can you record tracks using VR. I.e. it najes no difference.

Probably just from my a/c but I could jump to exterior view to show other aircraft.

I've recorded Quick Missions as I trained for OTU's to practice dive bombing. It worked well. I shifted the replay around to interior, exterior, cinematic, etc., using the F keys as a training tool to find just when to drop the bomb in a 109. Come to think of it, someone with editing skill could make a good training film like that.

My New-build computer with the Nvidia RDX 2080 Ti GPU wasn't shipped as scheduled because Nvidia delayed the 2080 Ti release for a week (at least) leaving Blackjack and I waiting.

For me there's a special 'gift' due to timing. The tentative new 2080 Ti release date, and thus charging and sale date on the almost $3,000.00 [2,289 pounds stirling] computer is 'on or after the 27th', but Il Duce's new tariff's against China began this week (reported as today or Thursday) so add the 25% electronics tariff to my cost or $750.00 [an additional 572 quid]. It was announced that China was paying the tariffs. Someone slept through his econ classes.

That’s some really poor geo-political luck for you Sparky. I had an email from “No”vidia yesterday telling me my new GPU will ship beteeen 5-9 October. The 20xx series launch has been a bloody shambles.

Did they specify a year? :Confused

My GPU has to ship to the computer manufacturer who assembles the unit. Then they send it to the online seller's warehouse. They presumably ship it to me in time for the Battle of Moscow Campaign- flying MiG-3s and I-16's. I'm joking of course. Probably Bodenplatte.

How much SSD space?

How much SSD space will be required for Wiidows 10, IL2 Stalingrad-Moscow-Kuban-Bodenplatte-Flying Circus-Tank Crew, and DCS World 2.5 with a bunch of aircraft and Nevada, Caucasus, Normandy, Persian Gulf. Will 500GB hold Windows and IL2 and DCS?

Say 70Gb for W10, 20Gb for all of the IL2 stuff so 500Gb should be ok for everything.

If you have 2 drives, shove W10 on the first small drive and make sure all game installations go on disk 2. You just need to make around with installation paths etc.

I have a 3TB HDD and a 500GB SSD. Would you put Windows 10 and games all on the SSD?

The computer should arrive this coming week.
