Might be better to wait until the pc has booted up, then check what software is running. My work pc is slow to boot up because of the security suite I use. If I got rid of that it'd be a lot quicker.

I confess to keeping my pc squeaky clean regarding non-essential utilities, and you'll fine that many do load up and run some sort of routine when you do boot up.

That's not a program I have ever heard of or would trust without thoroughly checking it out. Sorry.

I think he means CPU-z - well known CPU monitoring utility.

The CPU-Z is quite a straightforward utility once you get oriented in the numbers. I'll be happy to help you Jacko, but as Tom suggests, try monitoring the taskmanager (both processes and performances tabs) first. Good chances are there is some program running in the background that might be draining lots of power. If you don't find anything like that, run the CPU-Z and prtscr all the tabs and we can meddle with it.

Will do. Currently it is taking 7 minutes to start. Then a few more once I put in a password. Even then it takes a bit of time for the web app to work smoothly
