3.102 Failure to update

I keep getting a failure to update message when I try to install 3.102.

The forums suggest that you delete file rofuplib64.dll and replace it with a file attached to the post. However I cannot find a downloadable version of this file.

Anyone else have a similar problem ?

I've got the file as I had the same issue but went with another solution which ended up deleting a lot of my settings. I can email you the file if needs be.

Back up both your config file and your input folder then delete the updaye folder, run the update and restore config and input. Instructions are on the 1c Great Battles forums. If you can wait til I get home I will provide a link (unless someone beats me to it).

Thanks guys,

I saw links to the file, but they all turned out to be file unavailable. In the end I did what it said on the Stormbirds site and deleted the changes file. 3.102 then loaded.

This seems to have altered the graphics settings somewhat, but all the controls are as they were.

Noooo - this happened to me, but the article I saw provided the solution but said nothing about backing up the config files and input files. I have not flown since the update, but I assume that now means I have lost all my key settings and system settings too - is that true?
I am away for work this week, so nowhere near my pc to check :Cry

Couldn't say for sure Reg, but at least it is Summer Furlough just now so if things have disappeared you have time to sort them out

I simply deleted the updates folder and restarted. Worked for me

Yep. I’m on my new laptop, so I didn’t have any settings to protect.

You'll probably need to reset your graphics settings, mine were wiped as a result of deleting the updates folder.
