Request!!! French Airfields in BoF/BoB

Post by Swallow » Wed Mar 05, 2014 6:20 pm

To any and all:

If anyone can point me in the direction of some resources for French airfields in the Battle of France or Battle of Britain (but honestly, only those on the CloD map, I'd be very grateful.

It's slim pickings, with the only information I can find is in the context of, say, Galland's biography. Any pictures would be a great help too.

Edit: actually, there's quite a lot here:http://www.forgottenairfields.com/france/, he mutters to himself... But more is always welcome.

Best to find how the airfields were named. For example what were any Dieppe airfields referred to as - the following list doesn't include Dieppe:

In selecting the motto... 'all for one and one for all'... I have done so because it expresses what should be the creed to every Fighter Pilot. Never forget that you are an essential cog in the wheel, and if you break or fail it will let down your brother pilots, and the grimness of war allows for no such weakness.

I think Dieppe is St Aubin. Doesn't get me much further though... :((
