Very nice website indeed!

I have some reading to do for a bit.

Hi Moggy,
It's been a while!

I shall indeed avoid the "Hairy Hatter" as you suggest.

S! Catseye!

Genuine fan! :ymblushing: Due your ammo mix, I can light up a Ju88 from 250 yrds! A bit of a game-changer for a journeyman pilot such as myself! Don't take any notice of Moggy, though. Noone's been able to house-train him. :p But he's dead right about Hatter...

And nonsense Jab - I've seen you drink a second "Hatter Special"! $-)

Gentlemen!

I am most humbled and pleased that you found my CATMIX to be of value to you in downing the dastardly Hun. :-bd

The next release by TF will show, as I understand it, a more realistic graphic representation of the DeWilde round in regards to "Sparkles" instead of "Flashes" on impact.

Looking forward with great anticipation to the release and with a word to the Trainers - gotta requilify yourselves on takeoff and landing all over again. Also, will be nice to see incremental braking on the Spit & Hurri.

For you Blue chaps, hang in there, some day the 190 will make an appearance - you wish!! :D

Cheers,

No problem with our trainers requalifying ..as you cannot collide with trees! (insider joke)

Whilst we have you in our forums perhaps you can run through why AP is dropped from the catmix ammo loadout. I am struggling to know why an AP round should be less destructive than an FMJ round. I would have thought that both will pass through say fabric about the same and that the way FMJ would give up it's energy in a more destructive way against denser objects would count for less than the AP's ability to punch through. (Engine blocks for example)

Hi Hunter,
Have a read here:
http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/f ... #post96101

You will get more PK's if you add "some" AP to the mix but that is all. Since I don't rely on PK's I choose not to use AP rounds.

Interesting stuff, but then I have read that the reason they used so much ball was a shortage of other rounds and that by 1943 the usual mix was 50% AP, 50% HE.

However the Catmix seems to work better than any previous combo, so as they say -When the facts change, I change my opinion.
