Hi

focus on IL2: Battle of Stalingrad for now as our experience that it is much easier to get running. Then play for a while then do the application.

Feel free to post questions etc, and congratulations on the grandchild!

Just got access to the forum but everything is still locked up for me. Just wanted to check things out, I'm a big fan of IL2 BOS and noticed you guys are doing an organized coop campaign. I am very intrigued and would like to participate. I assume I would have to fill out the squadron application or can I participate as an independent ?

Hi Skoop,

Yes you'd have to join the squad & become a TP to take part.

FYI, we've finished our Velikye Luki mini campaign from the Russian POV (7 great missions in Yaks & IL2s), & when we resume in September after our summer break, we'll be simulating the action from the German side.

That will hopefully take us up to a point where the summer Stalingrad map is available & we start our major Stalingrad coop campaign.

Go on....Fill out the application - I don't think you'll regret it!
I wanna go full-horrible. Take me to the nasties.

Hello Skoop thanks for the interest.
We did try to promote that we would re-run the missions on a Friday for public to join but there were no takers. Maybe the scheme can be tried again for our next campaign. If you are not in a squad and have a sense of humour give us a try.
By the way where are you from.

I received your Pilot Application form yesterday Skoop and forwarded it to Tom - who will organise a couple of flights with you.

If you are contacted soon by someone called Penelope (who sounds remarkably masculine) who asks you to attend a clandestine meeting in a hangar late at night, unarmed and undressed. Don't respond, that will be Bunny. He has tried that with all of us at one time or another.

If you get a mail from Tom about OTU then respond to that, OTU is good fun and will have you on ops with us by the start of our next campaign easily. Otherwise hop on on a Friday and see if a TP server is up :)

Ha girlie swots :-bd
Tis i Stapme, hows things with you lot then?
BB still chasing the station paperboy about,
Tiger the ladies ?
I see you are flying BOS these days which brings me to a question.
is your campaign locked for you to fly against ai as per il2 FB/46
when i was a young dashing TPer or is it open for other units?
If not and you want a change and fly against another unit then
please give me a nod. I shall get 9./JG52 mustered for a sortie
or 2 . We have recently gone over to BOS full time more or less
we flew CLOD last sunday for the first time in months but that
was only to close out the SOW campaign which ended after 4 months
They are waiting for chrimbo to pass then they will launch another
campaign but we will have converted to BOS fully by then
Anyway toodles for now , i wish you all and your families
a safe and happy chrimbo from both me and Stan who says
WOOF!

Young and dashing?

Can't be the Stappers I remember... :p

Versus AI only still, but we're often online on Friday in the full real servers.

Hi Vongogu, welcome to the Tangmere forums. :ymhug:
I know you can't see too much at the moment, as a lot of the rooms are locked for Tangmere members, but anything you would like to know, and any questions you have feel free to ask them in here :)

I am sure some of the other unwashed hordes will be in here soon to say hello. #-o #-o
