Welcome Guests.

Post by Reggie »

Welcome to the Tangmere Pilots' Guest Room.

This is a place for all registered guests to pop in and say hello, find out a little more about Tangmere Pilots, who we are, what we do, what our plans for the future are - and what it means to be a Tangmere Pilot.

It is also a place for potential recruits who may have a few questions before applying.

I am sure all Tangmere Pilots will welcome you, and we look forward to having a chat over a pint.

Initial registration permissions will only allow you to post in the Guest Room at this point.

Hello Tangmere pilots
I am considering applying for recruitment but have a concern about how much time I can commit. I work away from home on Thursday, Friday and Saturday so would mostly only be able to fly on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and occasionally On Sunday. I would like to know if those days would be compatible with me joining the unit.
Cheers

Hi

Sunday ops is from 21:00 (usually online around 20:30 and on Tuesday we do training at 21:00 with most on around 20:30. Your times appear compatible.

There is a series of 4 Assessment Flights (quite simple) over 4 weeks but the idea is that we get to look at each other over the 4 weeks to decide if we're right for each other. Nobody bites (except for Hatter when he's in the throes of passion).

Cheers

Thanks for the replies fellas that was nice of you.
Well as you can see i am a boxhead now and i am zooming around in my trusty 109 .We fly a lot in CLOD and have
started to dip our toes back into the murky waters of BOS. To say we were disappointed in it initially is an understatement
but we are trying out the new patches to see if theres any improvement.
Anyway you bunch of lumpy jumpers here is a vid that we were asked to help in the making of
it is DCS and is in 3 parts
Part 1 is ai 109s we are the 109 pilots in parts 2 and 3 and my Staffel come in at 3.29 . I am the first plane you see in that segment my no is yellow 8 there are music credits and such at the end
hope you like it
take care all

HORRIDO!

It's weird but desaturating the colours makes it look like original IL2. Not a criticism, but an observation. When it switches to colour you see how nice the K4 model looks.

Hi Stappers - hope you are well.

Seems like what goes round comes round. Your comment on BoS being disappointing is interesting and invites a comparison on the introduction of CloD.

Who would play CloD as initially launched now? I'd put money on Zilcho.
