Yes, I am looking after a very ill wife at the moment, so not been able to fly for a few days :(
Hoping she will get better soon.

Gastroenteritus apparently is the suspected culprit. We will see how she goes. I am hoping she will be well enough for me to fly again this weekend :)
Thanks for the good wishes chaps. :)

Hi
Have ordered il2 BoS, and looking to do some flying again soon.
Hope you are all well.
Noting Toms simple rule number 3 - it was all Bunnies fault.

Gentlemen, thanks for letting me set the lower end of the bar Thursday night in the obstacle course scrum. T'was a hoot to use a Yank phrase.

I look forward to training flight #1 where I can demonstrate the entirety of my aviation knowledge: shiny side up. With camouflaged upper surfaces that might mean everything I know is wrong.

What a/c is training conducted in? Since you're using BoS I'm guessing a Yak-1 or a Bf-109 but who knows. A Tiger Moth? An Anson? A Magister?

Hey Sparky - if memory serves, the first couple of AFs are conducted in LaGG-3's - I don't remember what the other two are in - possible more LaGGs or Bf-109 F4s.

Thanks, Bunny. I'd add a caveat to your tagline in there's one other time when it's possible to have too much fuel. That's when the the rude end of the runway's fast approaching and its cousins the fir trees stand nearby sneering and your takeoff run is really more of a saunter and the wheels seem to still be on the pavement, silly things. You're way past the point of rejecting the takeoff and the odd thought crosses your mind that you'll make quite the Yule blaze if you don't pull this out and at least it'll be "Take that, trees", if you go.

Remember in this country we fly on the left side of the sky. :Dizzy

Tomorrow's my first crack at training flight one and I welcome any hints. The rules I've collected so far are:
1. Shoot Tom
2. Shoot Tom again
3. Fly on the left side of the sky
4. Shoot Tom down. He likes it, he needs it, he wants it.
5. If any of the pilots ask you to put on one of their old school ties and turn around just remember he's drunk and you can outrun him.

Any more suggestions?
