Sgt Mewt arrives at Kalach

Post by Tom »

After a successful initiation A/F1 was commenced. And cut short after Sgt Mewt chopped off my wing... It was a "sticky brake lever".

Image

Apart from that he did absolutely fine until he alighted oh so heavily on the runway. Seems fine for 601 I reckon provided he isn't scared off by Bunny spooning him with him in dispersal.

Anyway, he got through ok so give him a normal TP welcome. You, know, get the cheesegrater out and check BB's Vaseline for sand etc.

Carry on

Welcome Mewt,
I would sayit takes a great deal of skill just to cut half a wing off and not kill you all in a fireball. Your skills will come in handy for VVS missions as the leader for terran attacks

Haha. The ignominy.

Thanks for the welcome. Last night was a blast.

However was plagued by hardware teething problems. Windows refuses to come to any kind of firm decision on what Axis is numbered what, so spent a lot of last night remapping IL2 controls mid air.

Found out very quickly what happens if you don't re-map pneumatic brake lever in SU aircraft.

Back to work on my pit it seems.

Cheers for the fun chaps. Big thanks to Tom for a great welcome.

Just don't ask what controls he's got - he'll be talking for hoooouuurrrsss. Still I don't hate him as much as I hate Dickie with his ooooh so shiny Spitsim setup. I'd be jealous if I actually wanted one... Bah humbug.

But, Windows problems aren't as much fun as spending 30 minutes watching Merlin trying to take off with reversed ailerons...
