Feldwebel Rusti leaves Kalach

Post by Tom »

Congratulations Rusti on successfully completing A/F 4 (upside down in the snow after landing appears to be standard Tangmere practice for some...) . As of now you are a bona fide Tangmere member.

For the purposes of the German phases of the campaigns you're in 2./JG3 under the careful eye of our very own martinet, Merlin. Thankfully for you you're well away for the team killers as they're my cross to bear (mutter mutter).

Bunny will also keep a very close eye on you so remember have your skin on, don't shoot at friendlies and make sure you land ok.
In selecting the motto... 'all for one and one for all'... I have done so because it expresses what should be the creed to every Fighter Pilot. Never forget that you are an essential cog in the wheel, and if you break or fail it will let down your brother pilots, and the grimness of war allows for no such weakness.

Thanks everyone!
I'm so glad I took the plunge and applied.
I have had the most fun flying the last couple weeks that I've had in a really long time.
You guys are the perfect mix of dedicated, friendly, skilled and goofy and I already feel like I belong.
Thanks again for making me feel right at home.

I'll do my very best to not bring shame to the squadron. Starting off by landing with my wheels pointing in the right direction.

Now, I have recently upgraded my virtual cockpit with the new Thrustmaster flight pack (T16k, t-rudder and twcs) so I have a lot to learn again.

Either way, my girlfriend didn't get why I was so excited to have passed my tests nor what it is we do exactly and I'm already 200 euros poorer than when I started, but I guess both are age old flight sim traditions, so I might as well embrace them!

Enough rambling, see you guys on Sunday!

Rusti - Black 8 - 2./JG3,
Signing off
