AF Mission Files

Post by Silk »

It seems that something recently broke a lot of the Complex Triggers in the AF missions. I have re-jigged them to work with Russian or German and with Bf-109 F2s or Yak-1s and have made all of the AAA (I hope) faction neutral so that they should spawn but not blast our trainees and trainers out of the sky.

Maybe at some point Swallow may like to revisit them to get things back as he initially envisioned them, but for now at least they'll work. I'll supply a copy of the mission files to Tom and anyone else that needs them (probably via a link in this thread).

I'll send you mine so you can compare.
In selecting the motto... 'all for one and one for all'... I have done so because it expresses what should be the creed to every Fighter Pilot. Never forget that you are an essential cog in the wheel, and if you break or fail it will let down your brother pilots, and the grimness of war allows for no such weakness.

Depending on how old they are I may or may not be able to open them with the current editor, but sure

With the jump to update 3.001 the old AF mission files didn't work and I appreciate all the great work you guys did to remake the AF's in the new system. The first rework was a misty snowy 'Blue Christmas' setting. Someone listening to the old Elvis song? Now it's summertime, a great mix of severe clear, scattered and broken clouds and the triggers work but I know how many times you had to tweak it for me and the other noobs to get our chance to fly under the bridge.

I wonder if today's update to 3.002 will affect the newly remastered AF's. Since you just finished revising them, I guess no good deed goes unpunished. :Huh

It tends to be only the major patches that break things like that - time will tell though
