IL-2 BoS Mission Building Guide

Post by Prangster »

Image

Hi peeps, just finished work on a guide and set of tutorials for the IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad mission editor. You can download it from this link:

IL-2_BoS_Mission_Building_Guide.pdf

... and you'll also need the mission template for the tutorials:

Prangsters_ME_template.zip

There are bound to be lots of typos and mistakes so let me know of any you discover.

Now get mission building!

Impressive, most impressive.

Can we link it on the main BOS forum, or would you be so good as to do that? Totally your decision of course.
In selecting the motto... 'all for one and one for all'... I have done so because it expresses what should be the creed to every Fighter Pilot. Never forget that you are an essential cog in the wheel, and if you break or fail it will let down your brother pilots, and the grimness of war allows for no such weakness.

Hello Prangster,

my friend Bex and I thinks your guide is great and would deserve to be read by everyone. However while in 2015 everybody should at least read some English, there are still poor souls around here whom just can't, they may still have an interest in mission making though.

We first thought about some sort education camp to instill English in them by force but that may arouse some logistical issues, and legal too maybe, we then came to the conclusion that a translation of your document could work too.

Would you allow us to do so, in bloody French, and sell it online to get ourselves rich (or just share it freely, whatever)?

All the best,

Loup.

French!? Absolutely right old chap, everyone should speak English! Education by force sounds fine to me!

Prangster will no doubt comment on your request asap.

Best wishes

ps If it's sold online, I'll act as your agent for 40% of the fee. :thumbup

Hi gents,

Prangster already answered on Il-2 forums by PM, sorry for the inconvenience.
Yes, if you want to translate the guide into French that would be great.
You've got a great forum by the way, I like the look of it a lot.

Fly safe, have fun and it will be my pleasure to see you guys online (hopefully not in my six :D ).

I noted that the pdf uploaded to the BOS site contains Prangster's email and our normal server password.

Just sayin'.
