Basically, what BoS (it was really Rise of Flight) has modelled is the effect of wind passing over the control surfaces in this case the rudder. You need a little bit of throttle to keep the rudder effective.

If you buy directly from 1C/777 development site you can buy it as a separate product and the bonus is that by doing so all of the cash goes directly to the developers increasing the amount they can spend on development (or so they tell us)
IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Moscow can be used as a separate product or be integrated with BOS and/or BOK, resulting in one big WWII Eastern Front combat flight-sim.
Here's a link the the developers' store so you can make your own mind up https://il2sturmovik.com/store/battle-of-moscow/

OK

my disk for BOS arrived today (29€).
Its registered and updated on steam. I don't quite have the nice in game look like in the vids etc but I'll be reading a bit I guess.
Fact is it runs well, and the planes are going to take time to get used to. I have this weekend free, sort of, and will put some stick time in.
Hope to be back up to scratch soon enough to rejoin the group.

danke

One of the best guides are the 'Chucks Guides'. However I notice that I keep getting an error message whenever I try to access them. Have they been taken down?

Greetings -

I'm looking for a Co-op squadron (as I'm not interested in PvP flying), and happened across you guys in my search. I flew for one of the JG26 groups for many years before CloD, so I'm traditionally focused more on the German side of things as a dedicated 109 pilot, but at this point don't mind branching out as I haven't been able to find any Co-op German squadrons (which doesn't mean they aren't out there, just that my search so far has been fruitless). The main question I have is related to time zones.

Your training page suggests Tuesday training flights and Sunday operation flights - both days work for me, but the question of what time is the issue. I'm in the Central US time zone (GMT -6), and while Sundays I could fly at any time, Tuesdays I'm really only available from after 6:00 pm my time to 11:00 pm. If the training flight time is posted, I've somehow missed it, but what time do you guys usually fly on Tuesdays and Sundays?

Thanks!

Tuesday day and Sunday flights are generally start around 6 pm EST, though that gets funky with daylight savings, and that runs 2-3 hours from there.

Midweek we normally fly on tuesdays and Fridays between 9pm and about 10.30 or 11.00pm UK local time (BST at the moment and changing to GMT at the end of October). If you can't make those times I suggest that you maybe contact the management and ask whether it may be possible to make alternative arrangements. Absolutely not promising anything, but it never hurts to ask.

Hi guys, I´ve been looking around for someone to fly with and I have been looking at your group on and off while getting offline practice. I spoke to Bunny over at the IL2 forums and he was going to pass me the TS info if I was interested in dropping by. In case he is busy and not able to check in there, I figured I´d ask for it here since I can make it tonight at 9 GMT to give flying with you guys a chance. :)
