I remember my first MP air-kill back in the old 1946. Story time!
It was on Aces over Europe about five years ago. And it was also over Kuban. I caught a lone 109 off guard, managed to get behind him, pressed the trigger and jacked my Hotas X. Of course, it isn't, not having magnetic sensors, the best stick for accurate shooting, but my aim back then was also quite positively dreadful. Nevertheless, I managed to get his engine in such a state, he wouldn't stick in air much longer.
To this day, whenever I get behind a bandit, when I start shooting at him, or even in tense dogfight in general, my heart does pound (not in bombers - they're much more comfy and relaxing). And every succesful kill brings a level of joy and exultation. But back then, it was bordering a true ecstasy - I had for the first ever beaten someone. And that is why I fell in love with Sturmovik series so much; there's much pain, but there's so much to gain in return.

Oh my god it's a Czech invasion! Hopefully Jan (Mark online) will join us on Friday too.
In selecting the motto... 'all for one and one for all'... I have done so because it expresses what should be the creed to every Fighter Pilot. Never forget that you are an essential cog in the wheel, and if you break or fail it will let down your brother pilots, and the grimness of war allows for no such weakness.

Seems like we'll re-establish 313th Czechoslovak squadron by the Bodenplatte introduction. :D

If that's the case, we ought to start petitioning Jason Williams for a Wellington and a B-24. :DSeems like we'll re-establish 313th Czechoslovak squadron by the Bodenplatte introduction. :D

That would be the 311th if I'm not mistaken. But sure, would love to fly some of the big birds in Il-2!

Re: Feldwebel Paulie leaves Kalach
313 Squadron flew proper planes, like Spitfires. Not silly old buses like bombers.
