Big thanks

Post by Hunter »

Big welcome to the new chaps and we have had quite a few recently, so lets not forget the thank you's to those who took the time to take these guys through the AF's.

I am sure that seeing new recruits into TP is reward enough, but lets not forget to show our appreciation.

Totally agree Hunter and we should take the opportunity to thank those involved in OTU.

I join the choir of praise of OTU instructors (Merlin for me) and others behind the scene (great setup help from Silk). When I joined, a recent IL2 major update necessitated an OTU re-tweaking as the old world was now blue snow. A lot of work went into (Silk and Merlin?) retooling the OTUs.

Then there's Tuesday/Friday nights when Tom and others help me learn the art of formating, ACM, and energy management. On other days, Roy comes on the TP Teamspeak channel to shoot me down in a friendly manner.

Thanks to all who teach, from OTU designers and instructors on.

Merlin has been doing a sterling job getting all these new recruits progressing through their OTUs as always despite the summer furlough being in place. I'm sure we all really appreciate his efforts even though they are largely unseen by most of the Squadron.

When I started this thread I never thought that it would get this busy or require the level of commitment Merlin has shown.

Onwards and upwards I say.

And yes a big thanks to merlin
