Is my track IR broken?

Post by Hunter »

Well it's certainly not working. The set up screen does not load. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no effect and I am now wondering if the camera is broken.

When I plug it in I seem to remember that it lights up at the back to indicate that it is receiving power, but it doesn't do that any more regardless of which usb port I use.

Can anyone confirm that the unit does light up as I think it should do.

When I plug mine in I get 4 dull red lights briefly on the front of the unit - this only seems to happen when the software is running. (TiR 5)

I was thinking more about the back of the unit, whether r the software is running or not.

Solved it!

After uninstalling and re installing several times, I tried loading version 5.4.0. Worked straight away. Been running 5.4.2 for 4 years now, so I dunno what went wrong.

BTW there is no light at the back.

A couple of years ago I purchased a cheap alternative to Trackir to use during my UK breaks, being honest I think it was actually smother and better to use than Trackir. Called the Delan clip, you can pick up the full set up for 45 GBP. Heres a link, they even do a wireless version Delan Clip
