Very cool. Stormbird is a must-read in any case.

If anyone hasn't read it he was a flight student in the Austrian Air Force during the Anschluss. He was seconded to the Navy as an instrument instructor and then flew several hundred mission in 109s in Russia. Then he was a test pilot for new 109s and then flew 190s and 262s until the war's end.
