F/Sgt Lennon - orders

Post by Tom »

F/Sgt Lennon, you are now posted to No601 squadron.

Prior to arriving on station you will need the book on special 601 mathematics "Creative Mathematics for Over-Claimers'. You will also need some slippers to listen to Moggy's debrief and also a great deal of common sense. For example, do not fall for the ol' pick up the soap in the showers trick.

I suggest also getting some earplugs as there are some excitable chaps in the squadron.

Good luck.
In selecting the motto... 'all for one and one for all'... I have done so because it expresses what should be the creed to every Fighter Pilot. Never forget that you are an essential cog in the wheel, and if you break or fail it will let down your brother pilots, and the grimness of war allows for no such weakness.

Air Vice Marshal Saul in the foreword to 13 Group's 'Forget-Me-Nots for Fighters'

"They fly Hurricanes, isn't it? Them's shit planes for remtards on free dinners..."

Look on the bright side Lennon, you will actually manage to fly back to your homebase once in a while unlike No.1

Ohh fresh meat. I'll put him on the roster. Is your first name John?

Usually Tom nabs all the new pilots for No1, where they become disillusioned with being crap and leave. You had a lucky escape.

My first name was actually Tom But since we already have a Tom, I’m petitioning the court to change my name to Horace to avoid confusion.
